We are pleased to announce the first ever PICNIC Music + Arts Festival on September 13, 2008 from 11am to 6pm at Congress St. and Franklin Arterial in Lincoln Park. It will be free and open to the public. The festival will go on rain
or shine.
There will be over 70 of the most talented emerging artists from the local DIY indie craft scene. Crafters and artists will be selling handmade products in a variety of materials. Shoppers can expect clothing, jewelry, prints, accessories, bags, plush, paper goods, photography, housewares, fine art, as well as vintage goods, bicycles, vinyl records, collectibles, and funky antiques.
Participating artists will include Swallowfield, Manta Ray Business Solutions, ellO Gallery, Port2Port Press, Bobbin, Field, Mildred, Eli Phant and many more!
We will also have live music by some of the best indie acts in Portland. The final lineup is made up of Bird in the Rafters, Dead End Armory, Brenda, Huak, Metal Feathers, Confusatron, Cougars Kill Cobras, Honey Clouds and the Rattlesnakes.
