My three-year-old found the buttons and just ruined the take." From those humble beginnings, Dave learned the processes of recording step by step from guys who were inventing the craft, eventually partnering with his dad in the mid-1990s running his studio. In 2001, Dave was given all the gear from his father's studio when his dad decided to close it down. Today, in Dave's state-of-the-art Pro-Tools-based recording studio, he uses those experiences to record his own material for the Dave Rowe Trio, and for others. Recent clients include Denny Breau, Jim Gallant, Tom "T-Bone" Stankus, Carole Wise, Rob Carlson of Modern Man, and Pam Weeks, and the list of past clients while working with his dad reads like a who's-who of Maine Musicians including Schooner Fare, Don Campbell, Ray Lamontagne, and many others.
