I am part of the Beach to Beacon Road Race Executive Committee. The 12th annual race is Saturday, August 1st at 8AM. We are looking for some bands to play some music along the race course in Cape Elizabeth for the runners. Any bands playing would need to be set up by 7:30 AM and would be finished by 10AM or earlier, depending upon where on the course you are located. This is a great opportunity to become part of this exciting international event!
The race is a non-profit race which gives the proceeds to a different local charity each year. We have over 800 volunteers who contribute their time and energy to this event every year. Unfortunately, we are unable to compensate you monetarily. We are, however, able to recognize you on our website and perhaps some other minor advertising. You would also be able to put some sort of signage up in the location in which you are playing. We should be able to accommodate any electrical connections that are needed.
