"This past winter, the 2007 Rebel Blend Fund check for $2,781. was awarded to the East End Community School in Portland for their African Drumming and Percussion Project. African Master Drummer, Jordan Benisson,submitted the proposal to purchase traditional African instruments which would be used for his class to enable "each and every child an opportunity to find their voice through music." The project culminated with a series of public concerts to "celebrate Portland's multicultural and multiracial community."
